Roger Ringer is a retired firefighter/EMT, cowboy, farmer, and a poet, singer, and writer. As a longtime Vice President of the Western Music Association – Kansas Chapter he worked to advance the recognition of the Western genre and the artists, and still does so. Roger feels that working towards a higher level of professionalism to provide the fan an even better experience when attending a live Western Music event builds the general recognition of this great music form.
Roger originated the production KANSAS-HOME ON THE RANGE as a celebration of the Kansas Sesquicentennial in 2011. It became an educational celebration of the history of Kansas as well as a fun musical event. It was so well received that the second presentation became a focal point of the Kansas 150th Celebration in Wichita. The event was well attended and played host to Governor Brownback, Representative Mike Pompeo, and Mayor of Wichita Carl Brewer.
Roger is not scheduling stage performances due to health issues but is willing to assist any group or organization as proprietor of Wildfire Productions.
Roger has published one volume of Country and Cowboy poetry. COWBOYS, PLOWBOYS, & COUNTRY FOLK
And one CD, SONG OF WYOMING REVISITED
Roger also has an original song on the chapter CD, KANSAS COWBOY
